An anticoagulant combination that prevents the formation of blood clots. Rivaroxaban is used to prevent or treat a type of blood clot, called deep vein thrombosis (DVT), which may lead to blood clotting in the lungs (pulmonary embolism), as well as in people with atrial fibrillation (a type of rhythm disorder) for reducing the risk of stroke caused by blood clots.
